What is your favorite work related activity during this time?

During this time my favorite work related activity is our zoom meetings with the class. I love seeing my students' faces and participating in the teacher's lesson.

If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be and why?

If I had to eat with anyone it would be Steve Pemberton, his motivation and dedication inspire me!

Editor’s Note: Steve Pemberton is an English actor, comedian and writer.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be any why?

If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be lasagna because I love pasta and it’s so cheesy.

What is your favorite book or who is your favorite author and why?

My favorite book is A Chance In The World by Steve Pemberton. His book opened my eyes and I now realize that there are many children in the world that grow up in the foster care system who are abused like he was. I feel that I can make a difference in my job by knowing that there are other children facing these struggles.

What have you learned about yourself that has helped you cope in this COVID-19 environment?

During COVID-19 I learned that I have strong patience for dealing with people in the public. I see many people having arguments and fights because somebody was too close to them or they grabbed the last thing of toilet paper. I’ve really learned that life’s too short to care about the small things when there is more stuff to worry about in the world.

What is the best piece of advice you've received or a favorite quote that keeps you motivated?

“Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t do something. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. When people can’t do something themselves, they are going to tell you that you can’t do it. You want something, go get it. Period.“

- Christopher Gardner

This quote keeps me motivated when I feel like giving up!
