JET is making a difference
JET's Results
JET now operates in 13 Massachusetts urban public school districts, with demand continuing to grow. Today, JET is mentoring nearly 100 teacher hopefuls, investing multiple years of support as they earn their degree, teacher licensure, and a full-time teaching position. We’re getting outstanding results.
JET is closing the teacher diversity gap.
63% of JET participants are people of color, compared with 21% of teachers in our partner districts.
Most JET participants are first-generation college goers who grew up in the communities they serve.
JET is increasing college outcomes for adults.
70% of JET participants are on track to attain a bachelor’s degree, compared to 40% of other adult, part-time college students.
Many JET participants earn degrees with academic honors.
JET is advancing financial futures.
Licensed Massachusetts teachers earn 2x the income, on average, as paraprofessionals.
This income boost has a transformative impact on individuals, families, and communities.
JET is changing lives.
We’ve supported more than 200 adult learners on a life-changing path since we started in 2007. Our graduates have advanced their educational outcomes and achieved professional stature and pay. Most importantly, they’re making an even greater impact in students’ lives as classroom teachers.
