JET’s Participant Spotlight highlights fun facts about our Paras.

🔹What is your favorite work related activity during this time?

My favorite work related activity is listening to a child read and get through a tough word or group of words that we have been practicing. It always touches me when I see the them smile at their accomplishment.

🔹If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be and why?

If I could have dinner with one person, it would be my grandfather. I have never met him but I hear all the stories from family and friends about how he was such a great person. He was kind, giving and well respected by many.

🔹What is your favorite book or who is your favorite author and why?

I don’t have a favorite book because I explore different genres. My favorites are usually the ones we read as a whole class. I love listening to the children’s point of view and watch some of them grow as readers.

🔹What have you learned about yourself that has helped you cope in this COVID-19 environment?

I’ve learned that I am stronger than I thought. I can get through the tough times and not give up. I am worth it. I also learned that family and friends are important and they care for your well being.

🔹What is the best piece of advice you've received or a favorite quote that keeps you motivated?

You don’t always have a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe. Trust, let go and see what happens. (Unknown)
